Three Kingdoms (2010 television)

Both

Called the new Three Kingdoms. Faster and more intrigue-heavy than the 1994 serial. It still follows the novel’s relationships, not a film of the Records.

The frame is historical. Character, dialogue, and scale are often rewritten by the novel.

Form: Television
Date: 2010
Creator: Directed by Gao Xixi

The Gao Xixi series aired in 2010, with Chen Jianbin as Cao Cao and Lu Yi as Zhuge Liang. It changes pacing and thickens court intrigue. Guan Yu, Diaochan, and Red Cliffs still stand on the novel.

Set beside the 1994 serial, it shows two television tastes of one book. Neither replaces Chen Shou.
